To continue the tutorial, speak with <Captain Lungeau> and accept the <Blue Letter>. He will send you to see the <Professor> down the mountain road. The road will lead to <Mt. Gigante>, help <Mawley> save her husband by defeating the monsters further down the road.


<JUMPING>


Use the <Space Bar> in conjunction with W,A,S,D to jump in the desired direction. You will meet <Puccini> further down the road who will ask for some <Bread>.


He will teach you how to use your “Pockets” as quickslots.


<POCKETS>
Drag and drop items to the <Pocket> slot for quick access to them. Press <I> to bring up the item window and <Right-Click> the item and choose whether to put it into <Slot 1 or 2>. Hotkeys <F> and <G> will use your pocket items.
You will run into <Maldriga> who will ask you to go find his <son>.He will teach you how to trade.



<ACCEPTING TRADES>
Wait for the trade icon to be displayed. Click on the trade icon on the lower right or press the <T> key. Click <Make Entry>. View the <Other Characters> items and click <OK>.
<Variantos> by the <T-Crystal> will teach you about non-basic attacks that consume power <Pw>.



<POWER (PW)>
All non basic skills consume PW. Run out of PW and you cannot use skills, Pw recovers slowly over time. (Faster if you sit and rest) <Hotkey C> to sit.
Speak with <Yuno> who will teach you about <sidestepping>.


<SIDESTEPPING>
Press <Q> to sidestep to the left. Press <E> to sidestep to the right. You are invincible when you are sidestepping letting you dodge attacks. Continue to the <T-Crystal> to the next area. Continue until you reach the top of the mountain and see <O'Connell>.


Continue until you reach a fork in the road to reach the <T-Crystal>.
Fight the King Venemous to continue, defeat the Griffons, and rescue the researcher!


<Coole> and <Culio> will greet you at the top of the mountain. Give him the <Blue Letter> and learn more about <Classes>.



<Classes>
There are 3 classes:
Warriors use powerful close range attacks and can prevent people from interrupting their attacks. Scouts use long range, close up, and status effect attacks and can hide themselves on the battlefield. Sorcerers use powerful medium range attacks, status, and area attacks.

Warriors do more damage to Scouts, Scouts do more damage to Sorcerers, and Sorcerers do more damage to Warriors. For more information about classes, check out the Class Section.

Return to the garrison after learning about the <Classes> and complete the <Blue Letter> quest.
